The North Country Sports Hall of Fame was created by a group of sports minded individuals who would like to preserve the area's rich sports history.

There have been plenty of sports icons and local legends that have come from Northern New York's small towns. This Hall of Fame is unique to the area. Area colleges and some high school have created Halls of Fame to honor individuals and teams but the North Country Hall of Fame encompasses the entire region and includes all sports. Inductees may include not only athletes and coaches but anyone associated with athletics in the North Country throughout their career. We accept nominations and voting members from the public.

To learn how you can join the North Country Sports Hall of Fame as a member, please go to the Membership page. Membership: Any individual who wishes to contribute to our cause is welcome to become a member of the organization. Membership benefits include having voting rights for each year's induction class of the North Country Hall of Fame. In addition, each member gets to vote on vacancies which occur on the Board of Trustees. The Trustees are the governing body of the organization. This allows each member the personal flexibility to run for a spot on the Board and attend meetings or merely vote on candidates from the comfort of their home. We encourage input and participation in any Hall of Fame event or function. Membership dues are $20 each year. Any member in good standing receives a ballot that year.

Our first induction class is planned for 2017.
